AREA ROUND PLAYOFFS

Pirates played Wimberley for the Area Round playoffs in a 2 out of 3 series.  Game 1 was played on Friday, May 13 in Kenedy.  Pirates took the win 13-1.  Winning pitcher was Wyatt Wiatrek who went 6 innings with 1 run and 7 strikeouts.  Rene Galvan had a 2-run homerun.  Jaquae Stewart went 2-3 with 3 RBIs and a solo homerun.  Blake Mitchell went 1-3 with a grand slam and 4 RBIs.  Game 2 was played on Saturday, May 14 and the Pirates took the win 9-8.  Winning pitcher was Blake Mitchell.  Jaquae Stewart went 3-3 with 3 homeruns and 6 RBIs.  Rylan Galvan went 2-4 with a homerun.  Braeden Brown had a walk off hit in the bottom of the 7^th that sealed the deal for the win.  The Pirates overall record is 30-1.  Area Champs 2022.
