Academic Decathlon Regional Results

The Sinton High School Academic Decathlon team, coach by Mrs. Cheyenne Garcia, Mr. Justin Alvarez, and Mrs. Marty Garza, competed in the Texas USAD Regional Meet in Corpus Christi on January 27-28, 2023. Covering the curriculum which centered around the American Revolution and the New Nation, the Pirate team earned the 3rd Place plaque in Super Quiz Relay (Small Schools Division). In addition, team members garnered a total of 21 medals in the two-day event.

Ella Troup (Honors): 2nd Place Essay, 1st Place Speech, 3rd Interview, 1st Math, Team Top Honors Scorer, 1st Place Economics, 3rd Place Social Science, 2nd Place Science, 3rd Place Super Quiz, 1st Place Honors Top Score Overall Decathlete in Small School Division;

Eduardo Marroquin (Honors): 3rd Place Super Quiz;
